I am late! I am late! I am late!....

Because of my personal life, I am late in my blog for a few thing... as usual! :)
Oh, well...
we have a new challenge  which is to make an advent calendar
And I wanted just a simple, no fuss CALENDAR,
so this is what happened :)
My daughter Victoria was helping me all the way, telling me what and where to glue, and which image to stamp.
We just took a simple white blank page 12x12, stamped all X-mas stamps we could dig out from the shelves.
Then we added smaller square of Kraft paper, on top of it a page from Prima which with the help of a ruler we separated into different days, added all the embellishments and numbers.
Victoria likes it very much and wants to hang it in her room :)

Also, On the book project we all ready started the 6th step

This time it has to be a "secret" inside the picture, mine is inside the shell:
Mermaid opens the shell and on the inside she finds a shy sea horse.
As always, I am looking forward to see YOUR fab creations!
Thank you for stopping by.

Troubled skies

This is a second week at Craft a Scene monthly challenge, and I did two different train scenes, now it is the time for the second train.
I am a train fan from the childhood time, and my son Alexey is a big fan of trains too.
We even had taken train rides from Portland to Santa-Barbara x 2!
And we wish we could do more! :)
There is something so captivating about those steel machines!
And on this one I was a lot more happier with the effect of the lightning.

And on this one, it happened that while I was working on a train card, I looked out of the window, and it was just like that :)
Looked  so nostalgic to me, this is how I saw the sky long time ago, in a different land, in a different time....

So, come and join us at Craft a Scene for some stormy sky creations
you have 'till the end of the month

CELESTIAL WOLF

Sold
CELESTIAL WOLF

He walks the way of the stars and haloed Moon,
And stalks the forested places between frozen hill and plain ~

He understands the soulful song of the Wind,
And I long to save the Wilderness in his name ~
Skye Ryan-Evans

A very simple card, but I do like it
text inside the card reads:
"Overcome the notion
that you have to be regular.
It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary."

here I have used stap of the wolf-which I have found on ebay, banch stamp by Stampscapes, bats-from different sets of stamps.
Moon is made by masking.
Colored by distress ink pads (Ranger)
A touch of Glossy Accents and Smooch on the eyes.
White gel pen
antique gold glitter
Thanks for looking!

Aurora Borealis

Aurora borealis is something that is on my bucket list, I dream I would have a chance to see it at least once.
I feel that is the most magical thing that happens on planet earth-well, besides life itself.  :)
Here is my little attempt to create such magical occurrence.
I am quite proud how my stars turned out this time-you wouldn't believe how many pictures I have ruined to get here! :))
Oh well... practice makes perfect-right?
To make this card I used glossy cardstock (Ranger)
Stampscapes stamps, white gel pen, plain black and green cardstock.
If you want to learn how to do this check out video by Kevin here
Thanks for stopping by.

Wedding Cake-Exploding Box

Recently I saw a fantastic exploding box made by KuzjaLuda, and my sister soon getting married, her wedding would be in California, so I deceided that instead of a gift, which would be hard to carry with us, we will present her with some money, and then the idea came to me to present it in a way that would be memorable and special. Together with the window card I think it looks pretty decent, don't you?

To make this I used:
Prima Papers, Prima resin birds and corner
Lots of pearls and Prima mini roses

November Theme - Troubled Skies

At Craft a Scene blog our theme for the month of November is "Troubled Skies". We want to see all kinds of finished creations with a focus on the kind of dark and wintry sky you would normally see in November. For some of us this is even the start of snow season.
And this was mine interpretation, I think this could be a good masculine card

Windows number 1& 2-Wedding

Honestly I don't know which card I like better... :)
I enjoyed making all different tecniques-results as you can see all different!
This one I completely cut out the window, so light shines through,
I colored acetate with Copic markers and covered it with Stickles.
It really does looks like a glass!

Wedding Card #2
This one reminds me of a Snowdrops in the snow
Here I used a double sticky tape and a dry glitter-I LOVE how the glitter feels to the touch-so soft!

Stay safe my friends!
Nadia

Christmas number 1 and 2 windows

Today I want to share two simple cards I have made for my family for holidays.
Size of the cards are 4,5x7,5
One the first one I made my window with acetate and alcohol ink, ebossing folder
Martha Stewart Punch, and a bow.

This is inside view

Number 2
On this card I used blue acetate and filled it with micro beads.
Again I used same Martha Stewart Punch and tine pearl beads and a bow

I also have made two wedding cards with the same window die, for my sisters upcoming wedding in June.
I'll show them to you in a separate posting.
Hope you all have a wonderful time, and craziness from "Sandy" is far away from you all my friends and readers.
And if you are... I'll keep you in my thoughts!
Nadia
