Ava

It seems that I have lost all my readers...
I suppose because I did bacame boring. Well, that is ok-no worries, then I'll just keep this blog as my own diary of what I do.  And I know that I am no Patricia Rose-far from it, but, that ain't stopping me from trying.... And this is my little Ava, I really do mean "little" she's only 4,5 inches long and that is without her tail I am proud how her hands turned out (not perfect, but well, much better!) so is her face, I still got to practice sculpting it and painting it, but-she is my best so far. :)
I really like her, she's sweet and nice.
I used german glass on her lower body, and Frantangle on her upper body. Tibetan Lamb Wool was used for her hair-Oh! so soft! And Swarowski beads in her hair and hand.

Tais, mermaid doll

For those of you who said that my 1st mermaid doll wouldn't be the last one-YOU ARE CORRECT! :)

This is my newest... I call her Tais, she is a vision of grace, femininity and love to me.
She is so delicate in her coloring, that you should be thinking soft water foam, and corals.

She is made out of polymer clay, micro beads, embossing powders, flower soft.
She has hand painted eyes and lips. ( I still need more practice on those) It took me 3 weeks to make her. O, yeah don't forget her tail and fins-very interesting process as well-that material is FANTASY film, glitter and wire.
I made her hair too :)
I was sanding her all day long at the beach, so she really is: MERMAID =)

Don't laugh... please :)

But, you have probably noticed by now, how (for no apparent reason ) I am obsessed  with Mermaids... right?
Well, I did made cards with them, I panted them I made collages.... it's all not enough, and.... I HAD to try myself at sculpting.... Yeah, I have no clue how it is done. The only thing I knew how to make is the fins( I had written tutorial to be published at Скрап -Инфо).
As I have said before-I have NEVER sculpted before ! But, after watching very few available tutorials on Utube  and Patricia Rose blogI  I made my first attempt.
I know she's NOT perfect-I have a lot of areas to learn (hands, face  better sanding job, when to place those fins, how to properly bake her) LOT's of room for improvement , but I do like my little crude hand made Mermaid: =)
