New mistress in scrap and lifting

Yep... it happened!
My 5 year old, was telling me for a long time now, that she will do cards a 100% better then me...
:)
Recently me and wonderful girl Valerka exchanged some of our works (mermaids). When I received Valera's mermaid my daughter Victoria was so impressed by Lera's work, she decided to... right-LIFT it!

Here she is, hard at work:

She put Lera's work right in front of her, and did a pretty darn good job (My humble opinion)
After she was done, she announced, that she wants to send it to Lera, and... drum roll please-she want's to have Lera's work JUST for her!
I was under my table for a while... :)
This is Viktoria's finished work:

I did only two things here... well. 3.
I covered the whole picture with Mod Podge, put it in a frame, and glued all the accents with glue gun.

She colored mermaid with pencils, background was done by her! with soap bubbles and food coloring,
then she stamped fishes, octopus and crab... oh yes, bubbles too :)

There is some glitter, liquid pearls, micro glass beads and flower soft.
Then, she placed all the accents where she wanted them, and I glued them (it's just way too hot for 5 year old!)
Well, I am a proud mama, but a bit jealous, I wish she lifted my work :( and I wish I could have kept THIS masterpiece! But, it is not for me-it is for Lera.
Ler, I hope you'll like this.
She is quite proud of herself.
And even her brother liked it, and now HE wants to do similar thing, but with Transformers-for himself :)
Where did they got this, I wonder.... ;) ???

Lera's and Victoria's works side by side:

Black Pearl

I don't know about you... But, I really, really loved Pirates of the Caribbean:)

And this was my inspiration:

and I also just finished reading a book
called: "Бегущая по волнам"-She Who Runs on the Waves By author: Alexander Grin
And there was yet another movie : "The Ghost ship" which gave me shivers :)
Anyway... I saw that at Craft a Scene Blog there is a fun theme going on now:
And I just couldn't resist to play with that theme

Here I used only one stamp-the ship, colored with dry chalk, and distress ink pads by Ranger.
Moon was don with yellow office stikies and white gel pen for accents.

The X Files

Another 30x30 page from me and so soon :)
But, it has been a long time in the making!

I just thought that my son looks so much like Fox Mulder, and together with his sister they reminded me so much of the X files!
Well, it doesn't help either that Alexey is constantly playing with Lego Alien star ships and etc...
So, my imagination just took off...

I printed out "X" made a mask from it, colored white piece of paper with Distress ink pads.
Then stamped some black ink on my daughters hands, we stamped those hand prints straight to the paper. I also had some memorabilia-like the Sheriff's star from local Police Dept. which they gave to my son a train ticket a page from vampire book. Splashed some green alcohol ink all over the page.
Stamped, colored and cut out some green aliens. My family was all a smile when they saw my finished page-they liked it.

Amanita Fairy

I admit, I don't do scrapbooking pages now days, but on this occasion I really wanted to try again.
Cross my fingers and hope to be the lucky one! Sweet pea-you know are my absolute favorite stamps ever, and in their blog they offer to make a page using Sweet Pea stamps of course! :)
And I thought that I had just the right pictures that I wanted to make into a scrap page using fairies with mushrooms. This is my daughter at the Fairy world Festival in Eugene Oregon last summer:

Here I used a page from Little Yellow Bicycle LL-114, Lot's of die cuts from memory Box, wings for faeries I made from fantasy film. I added some micro beads into letter "F"

The matting paper I made from water color paper, and water colors, with a touch of glitter
And of course I used two images from Sweet Pea:
And

If you have Sweet Pea stamps, you can join as well, and if you don't.... That is OK!-they have digital stamps now! So, you can get them right away! As soon as you pay for them, and you still have time to make a page until May 6th to join this challenge!
Wish me luck!
