WOW!!!

I am the Finalist!!! :) I cannot believe my own eyes! There were so many fabulous works at the Mixed media art project ... and I made it :)

I am not sure it sank in just yet....
Here is my work all together for that project:

Two I kept, two I gave away as a gifts, and the rest I gave away for the silent auction that my kids school had, so they could raise funds to invite famous painters and writers to inspire our kids.
I am quite proud and happy scrapper today! :)

Roman Goddess

This card was done loooong time ago... But, only just now I am getting around to posting it.
While I was making it, I really missed Italy, Rome...
boy, that was looooong time ago. :)
Have I ever told you guys,
that was where I had my first fiance, and NO, he wasn't Italian, he was French.
That was VERY funny.
He was the tallest guy( Hi, Franko!) I have ever met,
I was the shortest girl-you'll ever meet.
He spoke:
French, Italian, English
And I spoke:
Russian and German
Day after we met-he proposed
(I was only 16!)
The problem was:---------
But, he did made me feel like a Goddess :)
Main image on this card is Kraftin' Kimmie Thalia
3 different paper punchers (Martha Stewart)
And background scene was made with Hobby Arts-stamps
Colored with distress ink pads
And Goddess was colored with Copic markers
Oh, almost forgot-Dove is Whiff of Joy stamp

Magic touch

Hello everyone!

Songwriters: STANLEY, PAUL
She's got the magic touch
And you're walkin' around in a dream
She's got the magic touch
Oh no, but it ain't what it seems
You feel there's a fire burnin'
When she feels cold inside
But you still want her much too much

This is my new try to paint streght on the canvas-no papers, only paint
I am not too happy how her lover hand turned out,
but, quite please about everything else, especially her dress and her upper hand
And this is an original, which I was trying to copy:

I painted her on canvas
with acrylic paint
swirls I did with liquid pearls

Final Challenge-take 2!

No matter what I do... I always, always go back to my Mermaids! :)
They drag me with them to the bottom of an ocean,
and make me see their beauty and grace.

Yes, of course I had to make another collage and this time with Mermaid!

Mermaid herself is a stamp, which I colored with Copic markers, cut out and glued to my wood canvas, which was painted with black Gesso, acrylic paint and Smooch sprays.
Then on the bottom I spread some texture paste, glued  piece of sack from tangerines from grocery store, covered with micro beads, beads, sea glass and sea shells

Here you can see all my mix of memorabilia, plus gold leaf flakes
I am quite proud of this piece :)
And I am entering this one as a final work for the Mixed Media challenge at

Final Challenge

Yep.... it is all ready here (

This time we were supposed to take something from the past challenges and incorporate into this one.
I picked color theme from the first one (teal eyes and red throughout)
No papers from the second one
Texture with paste from the third one
and texture without paste-heart, and acrylic red dots, and silver glitter.

Here you can see all that texture
My picture is done on a piece of wood
5X7
I colored this girl with Prismacolor pencils and acrylic pain
there is also a liquid gold leaf on the edges
My inspiration picture is this one:

Sleeping mermaid

Hello everyone, well at least those who come here! :) I hope you had good weekend, ours was quite busy. We panted two pear trees, finally did our taxes-FINALLY! :) And cleaned our car inside and out-phew....
And I did this... well, it's an attempt which counts-right? :)
Don't judge me too harshly, really I don't know what I am doing, but, I am not giving up just yet...

And earlier I have made another version (which my husband likes a lot more)
But, that one was a present for my friend Darya, and it is all ready on it's way to her:
One with the white tail I painted straight on the canvas, and one with the blue tail was colored on the paper with Prismacolor pencils, and the decoupaged to the surface, leaves and fishes as well.

And this was the inspiration:

Thanks for looking!
Have a good day!

Совместный проект "Коллажи" - 4 этап take 2!

Well, I just couldn't stop myself...
Had to make one more!
This time I really got down and dirty :)

And this is how it started:
Then I covered everything in white Gesso, after that it was just impossible to take pictures, all my fingers were covered in paint!

I used ribbon, I used a metal chain, ghost leaves, silk leaves, acrylic paint, alcohol paint, gold leaf, chalk, acrylic beads and rhinestones, die cuts-you name it-it's there! :) But I am quite happy with the result.
I was afraid my husband, when he sees it would say: that his wife went crazy, but... surprise-surprise-he liked it :)
And this one would be my 2nd entry into the Совместный проект "Коллажи" - 4 этап
My inspiration-this time it was just "INTUITION" I suppose... :)
Thanks for stopping by, sorry I don't visit every one at the moment, kids are on a Spring Vacation, and I just crazy about making this collage thing.... I don't even cook, we live on sandwiches :)

Совместный проект "Коллажи" - 4 этап

Here goes the 4th one all ready! This time the theme is "Fall" and we are supposed to use memorabilia, and texture, but not texture made by gesso or the texture paste.

So.... As far as the memorabilia-I have used the skeleton "trees" leaves, which I bought nine years ago on our annual Anniversary trip in Astoria.
Flower from my daughters dress and little raffia bow
And purple streamer from Birthday party
All of them double up as the texture

as well as  rhinestones, 3D stars
and glittery letters.

It's simple, but me and my daughter love this one VERY much! :)
